The Committee
The Committee is reviewed and agreed at the Annual General Meeting. There can be up to nine committee members. The current Committee is:
Mike Rundle (Chair and Treasurer)
Love living in the village and want to do all I can to protect and improve the countryside marvels we are so fortunate to have. Retired but have energy. Enjoy the like minds in the wildlife group. Keen to recruit all ages to join in.
Gill Waldron (General Secretary)
I have enthusiasm and interest in wildlife, especially bird watching, and am keen to contribute to conservation projects, but have no particular expert knowledge or ability in these areas. I am very keen on the benefits of building sound communities and that is part of my motivation to contribute to the wildlife group. The interest and enjoyment that members get from our group activities gives me great pleasure.
David Cooling (Membership Secretary)
I have always had a passion for wildlife and the environment. I enjoy bird watching and love butterflies. I helped count butterflies as part of a national atlas at the turn of the new millennium. I am a big fan of public transport and I also enjoy morris dancing and play a melodeon.
Barley Wilson
I’m an environmental scientist with experience of landscape restoration and garden ecology. More recently I am trying to manage my concerns about the climate crisis and biodiversity loss by focussing on the little things that really matter – insects, plants, and village projects. Ryburgh has been a great place to be involved in projects that make a positive difference for wildlife and for our community, and the range of skills and enthusiasm in the RWG continues to lead this forward.

Neil Dandy
Enjoy living in Great Ryburgh after years of work and travels. We particularly appreciate this part of Norfolk and its country walk routes and coastline – the wildlife and flora make every hike a mini adventure! Our Wildlife Group contain a wide range of helpful skills and knowledge. My interests are hedgehogs and safety advice for our organised trips.
