Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Ryburgh Wildlife Group, held at the Blue Boar Inn, Great Ryburgh, at 7pm on February 2nd, 2024.
Present: Mike Rundle (in the chair), 21 members (see attachment)

- Welcome and Annual Report Mike welcomed the members and gave his report outlining the activities of the RWG in 2023, our 25th anniversary year. He read the Scrape Report from Steve Cale (attached). He invited members to consider the poster display which outlines ideas for the further development of the group. It will feature in the next newsletter and Mike asked members for continued support and assistance, and to respond with suggestions. He outlined proposals for activities in 2024 and there was some discussion.
- Financial Report and Accounts The accounts from August 2022 to July 2023 were circulated. £2469.24 was in hand. There was some discussion about opportunities for expenditure, a suggestion of purchasing bird boxes was made. Mike confirmed that one aim of the celebrations in 2023 was to return some value to members by , for example the barbeque which was open to all without charge. He confirmed that the group was registered with the Charity Commission, and that VAT was not reclaimable because the group offers a service in the use of the scrape. Acceptance of the accounts was proposed by Keith Patterson, seconded by Jane Rundle and agreed by the majority of members.
- Election of Officers Mike confirmed that all committee members were eligible for re election and were standing again. Mike Rundle, Treasurer and Chair, David Cooling, Membership Secretary, Gill Waldron Secretary, Nick Parsons, Barley Wilson, Ian Wilson. The committee was re-elected unanimously, proposed by Jenny Lonsdale, seconded by Andrew Purdy. No other members stood for election, and there remain two unfilled committee spaces.
- Any other business There being no further business, Mike thanked the members and closed the meeting at 7.25
