Matt Champion kindly led a walk around the village on Saturday 12th February which demonstrated an interest in the archeology of the village. Twenty attended to hear that the ruined church at Little Ryburgh maybe older than St Andrew’s, that the original road to the village was the lane through Little Ryburgh and that the road over the bridge is built on the Saxon foundations for the original crossing point – and much more. The RWG committee hope that details of the archeology of the village maybe the subject of future organised walks and possibly an exhibition or written account.
